A considerable number of questions regarding the ending of the marvelous and superhit show are popping up in the town all around! Riverdale star Camila Mendes has indicated the possibility of the show ending, suggesting it may have one more season in it.
Camila Mendes, a Riverdale actress, has joined in on the likelihood of the show’s cancellation, speculating that we only have one season left.
The popular CW series is now in its sixth season, but Camila, who portrays Veronica Lodge, has repeated past co-star statements by speculating that a seventh season might be it’s last.
“I give it another season,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I believe we’ll make it through season 7. Here’s hope. We’ll see.”
It comes after Lili Reinhart, who portrays Betty Cooper, hinted at something similar a few months ago, stating on Instagram Live about a conclusion: “I don’t know. We’re hoping for a season seven. And it will most likely be the final one.”
Cole Sprouse, who portrays Jughead Jones, had hinted at a seven-season run, telling ET in December: “I think just in a straight-up legal sense, contractually it started at seven seasons, which is a pretty standard contract for film and television, so I don’t know what happens after that”
“However, I believe that one of the characteristics of a successful show is the ability to tie it up and say, ‘Hey, we love you guys.’ The journey has come to an end, and I hope you’ve enjoyed yourselves.’
While all is going on, it has now been reported that Riverdale season 6 will premiere on Sunday, March 20, two weeks later than originally scheduled.
This is due to the Critics’ Choice Awards, which have been rescheduled for March 13 as well.
Riverdale is shown on The CW in the United States. In the United Kingdom, you can stream via Netflix.
